Earl May Garden Centers is looking for a dynamic, highly motivated person to coordinate our landscape business in the Iowa City, Iowa, area.
Our landscaper will provide landscape and maintenance services to residential and commercial customers, as well as seek out new business and provide design services to new and existing customers.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, have a strong work ethic, take ownership of their work and love working with people and plants. This person must be able to work with a team, including the retail team at our Iowa City Garden Center, to get results.
Requirements:
- Business experience is a must, including nursery sales and/or landscape installation and construction
- Ability to prioritize projects and tasks to ensure deadlines are met
- Ability to work independently and to foster a team environment within the landscape team
- Customer service experience to deal with a wide variety of customers
- Strong knowledge of plants
- Previous management experience
- Ability to write clear, concise contracts
Hours will vary based on season and deadlines. Earl May offers a full range of benefits including insurance, 401k and paid vacation. A clean driving record is required and an MVR check will be required.
